Mission of APSC
* Serving as a communication channel for our fellows *
We serve as a public speaker for our fellows working in wet trades. We collect opinions and requests from our fellows and then bring them to the relevant government agencies and organisations. We often distribute the latest information to our fellows. APSC serves an advisory body as the leaders and elites of wet trades gather in APSC. Professional and accurate information of wet trades can be reached through contacting APSC.
* Training of new blood *
APSC has won the trust from Construction Industry Council (CIC) as we master the craft and skills of wet trades with proficiency. We engage actively in training of new blood and are eager to pass our professional skills to a new generation. We convey the standard and requirements of wet trade to CIC so that new practitioners can learn the latest status of the industry in the courses provided by CIC. We encourage our members to participate in the Sub-Contractor Cooperative Training Scheme (SCTS) of CIC and provide on-site practical training to the trainees. APSC members are willing to provide vacancies to CIC graduates and help them to step into the employment market.
* Raising awareness of occupational safety *
Construction industry is usually high risk involved and its probability of incident seems to be higher than that in other industries. To address this matter, APSC has joined the REDA/HKCA Safety Partnering Programme. We promote good and safe practices in the industry. We also encourage our members to provide a safe working environment. APSC helped to launch the Construction Charity Fund (CCF) so as to support the workers and their families in need.
